Under 250.00 with good mid bass and smooth tweets.

I'm thinking about these.
jl audio XR650-CSi componets for the front doors.
jl audio XR525-CXi

Does anyone have these or has heard them?

Thanks........ Scott

lol wow... that was coherent... i dont know about the JL's.. i have a pair of DLS R6A's that retail for around 220 that i like alot... pretty punchy midbass and smooth highs... lots of people also like the crystal sscs component speakers as well... this audio forum is pretty quiet but if you head over to www.fullsizechevy.com and check out their audio forum you will get alot of help

I have the XR650 CSi and I love them. Are you amping them or running them off a deck?

I chose the JL's over Boston Acoustics and Diamond Audio - went and listened to all three and I like the sound of the JL's best.

I have a set of the Polk MoMo's and am pretty happy with them. The tweeters sound good once broken in, but I was hoping for a bit more mid-range from the 6 1/2's. I also have a set of Power Rockford Fosgate's and really like those a lot. I should have waited and got two sets of these, but got impatient and wanted to do the install the day I bought everything. If you want to spend a few extra bucks for the RF's, I would recommend them, but as other posters have noted, there are some other components out there that sound great and are in the price range you are looking for.

check out the pioneer premier ts-c720prs, car audio and electronic just did a review on the 61/2 components and they are pretty well rounded and there not very power hugry. you can pick up a set for around 220. what ever you do dont skimp yourself on mids and highs. you get what you pay for in car audio.(most of the time)

MB Quartz Premium line are good speakers, just hard to find for around 250. They come with a 3 year warranty though. The high's are more bright than smooth because they have a metallic dome rather than a silk dome like the JL's. JL's would be a bit smoother.
