cyberdyne trans temp issues
#1
hey guys i installed a Cyberdyne trans temp gauge along with their sending unit. my instructions only include on how to wire it up. not how to trouble shoot it. My problem is that the gauge is "scrolling" LO with key on or running.
my search on here found only flashing gauge problems.
ive got good voltage at the gauge and my sending unit is in the corner of my pan near the pickup, i read on here that the digital sending units are sensitive with grounds so i put a braided grounding strap from the pan near the sending unit to a empty bolt hole on the side of the trans, no affect.
any ideas. i emailed cyberdyne early yesterday and have yet to hear from them.
thanks. Blake.

well im wondering if the sending unit is bad because it has been on the rig un wired for close to 5k miles (since i built my engine) going through its normal heat cycles while i was tinkering with other little things and putting off installing the gauge.
is it possible that i damaged the sending unit but not hooking it up immediately?
BTW although the gauge isnt reading correctly it is a BRIGHT ****! even with the dimmer wired up, glad i put it down out of the way and not up on the pillar in my face.
