Default Corroded positive cable?

Whats up everybody. The other day my battery died on me or so I thought. So I went and picked a new one up and proceeded to change them out. When I went to take the positive cable off the old one, it was so corroded I had to break the lil bolt off that holds the cable to the battery. Anyways I got the new battery in and got a new bolt for the cable but I dont want that shlt to happen again. What are some easy ways to keep the cable from corroding like that again??

Thanks in advance...

Default Get some electrical

grease and lube the bolt really good. They make some anti corrosive stuff in a little packet you can get at autozone or either at a hardware store.

anti-oxidant and/or dielectric grease and what they said. Make sure your cable is good at both ends!

Keep them (terminals and battery) clean and dry!
