You could band aid it by running all the door speakers off of the front or rear channel and amping them (like you have it now) and running the tweeters off the other channel but off the radio. Then you could fade front to rear to adjust your tweeter level.

If you have time alignment in the radio you could also utilize that and not have to get a processor. This is all if you want to find away around spending more.

You could drop the crossover off the front door speakers and let them play full range and use the crossover on the tweeter only..

Just a thought, might be fun to experiment with if nothing else.

I also bet it would work out really nicely.

My head unit is preamp only, no built in amp.

I currently have a 5 channel amp but I'm only using the front channel and the sub. So I could amp each driver separately, but my HU doesn't have the processing necessary to do it correctly IMO.

I know Pioneer and Sony have preamp only head units. I bet there's lots more.

I did one click in google and found this expensive bugger: Pioneer Stage 4 DEX-P99RS

Cough, cough, $1200, cough, cough.

It's a sony rsx-gs9. High end head units don't have built in amps for obvious reasons.

It's got some quirks but it's built properly, no plastic junk. I couldn't take another cheap *** plastic HU with crappy volume ****.

I know the bose units put the tweeters in the pillars, but everything I read about em is that the pillar tweeter angles the tweeter towards the windshield. If they are too much and the time is off, I would try them in the door first.
