I just got me a new to me truck, The previous owner had a flip out screen Kenwood cd player /tv tuner unit in the truck. Well the thing is locked with a password and you cant even use it. Does anyone have a suggestion? I bought the truck from a car lot, They didn't tell me about the radio until after i signed papers. The truck was also bought at auction so there's no way to get the previous owners contact info. I have had the truck for a week now and it has stock exhaust too, I have had ALOT of thinking time on my hands lol.

 

it should be 012345 or 12345, something simple unless they changed it. You might be google what the passcode is.

 

It's a four digit code, I've tried 0000 1111 9999 1234 2004, then i started just pushing random numbers. It's locked good.

 

Well, After the better part of seven hours, strained eyes, and an upset wife, I finally fount the answer to my own question(Priceless,lol). So to help save someone else an afternoon, Here is the answer I fount on another site for unlocking the Kenwood KVT-715dvd unit:


Ok, You guys I just had a problem with a kvt715 being locked and I paid a site 40 dollars for this info,It does work the code is KCAR(5227) BUT its how you use the code whether it works or not the first thing you have to do is have a remote-Will not work without remote,....Turn on unit and the screen will come up for password..using remote press 5 two times,wait 2 seconds and press enter,NOT track up press 2 three times wait 2 seconds press enter,press 2 One time wait 2 seconds then enter and finally press 7 two times and press enter! your screen will be unlocked if you did it right,If you have to try again turn off and then back on.AGAIN the site I paid for this at says push track up but that did not work for me, Good luck.
