Adding SDCard To a 2005 Silverado Bose Premium?

I have a 2005 Silverado, fully loaded Z71 ECSB, leather, Boses Premium, and so on. The CD player will not play MP3's on a disc.
I see a selector button on the radio CD/Aux.

Is there a way to integrate a SDCard player into the system. I want to play my mp3's through the OE system.

Thanks

Most wire in a Jack and connect their phone. There are several write ups on other forums and even You tube shows various ways.

I believe you can also buy a module to add AUX input for exterior sources.
PAC AAI-GM12Dual AUX Audio input Might do the trick. i am sure there are other ones to.

Thanks, I read a little on it, I see this "Allows Direct Interface of any Pre-amp Level Audio Source to a 2003 / 2005 GM Class II Factory Radio with a Slave Unit".

What do they mean by Slave unit?

I assume they are talking about head units that have an aux CD player in the console. Might want to check with some one like Crutchfield.

If you dont want to scrap that bose system (trust me, its worth getting rid of) then I would recommend a Bluetooth FM Transmitter.
I had a G8 that I needed to do that with. I tried about 5 or 6 different ones. The best I used I got from WalMart, it was a Monster brand.
I see Home Depot sells it too. It's worth using, if you dont want to upgrade.

Well this never happened. Now I am looking to add an aftermarket double DIN hoping to keep steering wheel controls and such.

Any success story's with particular brands that play well with the Bose Premium speakers and Sub?

This is by far the best option I've found. Not specifically sd card but bluetooth capability while maintaining the factory radio. The audio quality from this beats the crap out of any fm transmitter. https://www.discountcarstereo.com/a2...ategory_id=257
