2000 rms or 2000 max? And are we talking about 2 amps? 1 amp? I think I would at least do a 1400 if you are going kinetik(that is if you are only putting 1 amp thats 2000 and not 2 amps totaling 2000). You may also look into stinger, I ran one of those for a while and it performed well. Plus I think you can get them cheaper than kinetiks.

i prefer stinger batts over kinetiks...even past the performance aspects they actually look a little nicer & can be worked in with appearance easier

8"s in a RC sound good, 10"s sound Amazing, 12"s are loud as ****. And put THAT Much amperage in and holy ****.
A guy in Highschool had 3 JL 12's in his RC on like 1200 max. and holy **** it was insane how loud that thing was. When he would roll infront of the school it was so loud you couldn't tell where it was coming from.
And when your that close to the speakers you can hear them move. I don't like that.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, I'm just saying Dayum? Fo real?

It shouldnt be that bad.....I had a 10 inch pushing 4000 watts RMS in a ported box......now that was loud.....but I grew out of that, I have a little 8 inch now lol.

To the OP I would go with the 1400 or 2000 stinger batt as funds allow for that size amp. and if it were mine I would run at least 2 ga. along with the big three. you can even get welding cable which is usually cheaper if you need to.

The big 3 really wont help if your pushing serious stuff. How many amperes are you pulling? How many amps? efficiency of each amp? Im running three 12 Fi subs with 3 crossfire VR1000D's to each sub and a crossfire VR404 for mids and highs. The big 3 didn't help. I had to upgrade to a 200 amp alt and 2 batterys. Its not hard to run two batterys, stinger.com sells the isolater needed for the project and all the info needed for the setup is on thier site.

True the big three in itself wont help enough with 2000+ watts but it is still recommended especially if you are upgrading alt and putting a second batt in as you will have 2 of the 3 wires unhooked anyway. You dont want to run a 200 amp alt on stock 8 ga. fuseable link.
