Default Bolt on a HD belt tensioner to your stock waterpump!

Hey guys, new product! This is a bracket to be used on factory style truck waterpumps to allow easy mounting of an off the shelf HD tensioner. It was designed around the Gates/ACDELCO tensioner part number 38518 which you need to get on your own from summit/amazon/oriellys/ebay/etc. This purchase includes the bracket and the center grade 8 bolt, locking nylon nut, and 2 washers. This is made from 3/8″ steel. and schedule 40 pipe, it is very strong and utilizes all 3 mounting points to the water pump. The 3 factory mounting bolts are reused. This is the same tensioner used on most 8rib supercharger setups and from magnuson as the "HD Upgrade".

There are several mounting positions which can be used for the tensioner tab to rotate the tensioner to whatever position works best for you.

This is especially useful for LSA swapped trucks that use the LSA supercharger on the factory 6 rib system. The typically pulley is 8 ribs, and that will work fine with the 6 rib belt and other pulleys. It is aligned such that the rear most rib matches the factory spacing leaving 2 ribs to the front of the belt, which is the same way 8 rib conversions add additional ribs. This is also recommended for high-rpm vehicles to keep the belt on.

It can be purchased directly from my website: https://atomicfabandperformance.com/...ioner-bracket/

Thanks!

Us 2014- up guys make use of this? I doubt it but would be nice to have an HD upgrade for the maggie'd DI trucks around.

Maybe! Is the belt offset the same? You can certainly give it a shot!

I have a question. If I go this route with the tensioner on a 2002 Silverado and a TVS1900, would it eliminate the need to purchase the $320 tensioner assembly from Magnacharger?

No. The maggies use that accessory bracket with the extra idler pulley. You would mount the HD tensioner with a spacer to that bracket. My bracket is for NA trucks or ones that dont have that accessory bracket in the way (LSA, procharged, etc.)

How much to supply the right sized spacer for the tensioner you listed? Maggie wants 180 for the pulley and spacer which seems a little high to me. I could probably make the spacer myself if I knew what it's supposed to look like.

It looks like the pulley is ~$85 on amazon. I dont have any of the proper thickness spacers, but wouldnt be much to have made to fit. I think you will need to dowel the spacer though so it doesnt rotate.
