I'd just sell the existing truck and get a 2500HD with a Duramax.

Will do, many questions that need answering as far as making the Gen IV BCM work with the Gen V ECU, Paddle Shifters, ect. I'm not in a rush so I will find the answers and set up a methodical plan for everything to be done correctly.

I was just about to suggest this. As cool as this swap would be the diesel will do everything you want and can still be quick enough to put a smile on your face. I wouldn't drop that kind of money on the LT4 setup when a mildly modded duramax will get 20mpg.

Any thing new here? I still like the idea of a long bed 2500 with a cam headers and blower. Already have all the basics down. Plenty of power handling and braking.
