Default Building my 6.0

Ive been projecting my 2003 rcsb Silverado. I recently purchased an lq9 and I’m looking forward to build it. Was looking for the best route on where to start on what to buy first and so on. Don’t want to start buying parts blindly. Looking to build for boost. What’s some recommendations on best aggressive cam and valvetrain to support it. Looking to keep stock bottom end. It’s not going to be daily drivin so I’m willing to push decent power

What's your budget?

What transmission and what gears and what kind of stall do you want to run?

You need to know those things to get any real idea on what the engine build is going to be about. Just know that an "aggressive" isn't exactly what you need to make stupid power with boost. Very mild cams will make 500whp or 700whp with enough boost. Either of those power levels will be useless on the street in 2wd anyway.

I guess that’s why I’m on the page just to get an idea this will be my first build, but I guess I want to run 4:10 gears with 4l80 and idk what would be the best stall to run just tryna build up my info

Dose the Lq9 have umpteen thousands of hours/miles or is it a fresh build?
Find Matt Happel's "sloppy mechanics" channel on Youtube.
Research then buy the Sloppy Stage II camshaft
go from there and bust some ***

That's the route I took building my LQ9. If you're reusing the OEM pistons and rods try using your pinky to rotate the wristpin inside the piston and rod end checking if they are gummed up. Half of mine were a little sticky so I removed one clip from each piston to slip out the pin(s) to clean the pin, piston and rod bores, lube then reassemble. Be careful not to let the clip fly out or you'll speed a lot of time hunting it down. Don't forget the orientation on the rod and safety glasses.
