2014 Silverado 5.3L with TVS 1900 & Kooks

These kits are still new and starting to pop up here and there, figured we would share our results as well because we know how people love feedback and dyno graphs!

This was a 2014 Silverado with a 5.3L, the customer does a lot of towing and was looking for more low end power and torque. Immediately a maggie springs to mind...so we set him up with that. Also with a set of Kooks headers, which not only look nice, but fit very well also.

Here's a few pics during the install;

Blower out of the box. Bonus, it already comes with a 3 bar MAP.

Super nice looking truck. Hate working on the new ones all the time, I have serious envy ;) (but I do love our '06!)

And a before & after dyno. Picked up 132 rwhp & 125 ft/lbs tq.

Dyno pull,

Thanks for checking it out. Build blog HERE, and the rest of them HERE if you want to see what's been in the shop lately!

Cool, thanks for sharing. The 14' 5.3's seem to dyno consistent from what I am seeing.

Maybe there is something not shown, but, in the dyno graphs why aren't the HP and TQ lines not crossing at 5252 like they should be? For some reason the stock lines are crossing at approx. just under 4400rpm, and the two after pulls are crossing at just over 4600rpm.
What gear was the truck in?

black00chev 11-13-2014 04:16 PM

The HP and TQ axis arent scaled the same.

ZO6Ted 11-13-2014 09:21 PM

Exactly. It would be ~ 415-420 it appears at 5252.

Perfect setup for a daily driven truck that still hauls loads! And it's nice to see we have another PT sponsor, welcome! :)
