Any of you MS guys every went through this? I sold a 00 salvage truck awhile back and the guy i sold it to end up having it inspected and getting a clean title on it. Well im going through the samething with a 03 single cab now and wondering if any of you have done it and how hard it is.

I am curious about this too. I thought once a salvage, always a salvage.

You are correct in most states but i know mississippi (if fixed) allows a salavage to be inspected and if passed, can apply for a clean title. The last truck i sold was a 2000 single cab that had flood damage. The guy i sold it to had it inspected and got a clean title and traded it in later at a dealership without a problem.

I'd be pissed if I bought a truck with a "clean" title and it had been a salvage at one point.

Yeah that's right. That allows you get a tag but it won't be completely clear. Where do I go to start the process? Highway patrol?

To get a rebuilt title in Louisiana it requires an inpection by state police, which is your highway patrol so that sounds like the logical first place to start. Who is the authority that issues your titles and drivers license? Just ask them, but be clear you want a rebuilt title, if you tell them you want a clean title they'll tell you that you are crazy.

As you guys said, you will get a rebuilt title. The 02 rcsb in the for sale
section that getonit is selling is my old truck. When I bought the truck it was a Texas salvage title, I had to go down to the state police and had them do a afadavid (spelling? Lol) of inspection, once they did that the DMV oases mr
a la rebuilt title.

Cool that's what I needed to know before I drop alot of money in this truck and can't get a tag for it. Becuase I can't get a tag until I get a rebuilt title that's in my name, right?
