Default How do you take off the manual window *****?

I can't pass inspection here in Texas, some how I have "9 percent tint" and they won't pass me. So I need to know how I can take off the ***** on the manual windows and will this work to pass inspection if i just tell them I can't roll up my windows or am I pretty much screwed either way?

thanks

push in the door panel as far as you can around the handle and reach in there with a pick and knock off the c clip.

i dont think that will get you to pass...they can just grab on with a pair of pliers and roll it up a few inches to see.

They make a tool just for this purpose. You can get it at Autozone, its just a few bucks and makes it a breeze.

Rolling windows down & pulling fuse when wife's Armada needs inspecting next year. My truck has 20% & 5%. With windows down, the shop I went to never even raised 'em up to check.

It can be done without a special tool. Just pull a rag between the crank and door panel and move it in a sawing motion. The clip will come flying out.
