Default Dumbest, simplest fix you've done?

I saw a similar thread over on LS1Tech, thought we could use our own. What's the dumbest thing you've spent tons of time trying to fix, only to find out it was something really simple that you overlooked?

I'll start it off....

I have been having problems with my tranny shuddering on light acceleration and it seemed like it was skipping 3rd gear after I swapped valve bodies. I R&R'ed the valve body about 3 times, pulled shift solenoids out and cleaned them, overfilled the tranny thinking I didn't have enough fluid in there (put almost 4 qts too much in there....forgot my driveway slopes backwards ) and had it vent out the top and cover the ENTIRE underside of the truck from transmission back. Spoke to my tranny builder several times, he called Transgo, nobody could figure out what was wrong.

I was looking through my tune last week and happened to notice that somewhere along the way I had changed my shift points to command 4th gear before 3rd gear. Changed it back, and it's been working fine ever since. DOH!!!!!

about 2 months ago I was workin on the buggy and for some damn reason I could never get it to run steadily let alone try to get it to start. It kept turning over and turning over, and I finally got frustrated and said f it. the next day i walked out there and looked at the buggy close, and realised that cylinder #1 had the spark plug out from when I was setting TDC lol... i was so pissed at myself, oh well.

i had just gotten my motor back from my engine builder..for my circle track car..i gave him the cam and cam card and he put it in at 4 degrees advanced..ignition timing set at 36 degrees..well i get it on the dyno and it only makes a 234 rwhp..should be makin 400+..well i get to thinking and i decided to pull the timing cover off and check where its at, call the engine builder he says just put it straight up, because thats where my old motor was set up at and made 410rwhp..so i put it back in and get it all bac to running..go to make another pull, would only go to 5000 rpm (intended to go to 7500rpm) and made 240 rwhp..so im cussin and bitchin and take it back out to my shop and decide to take it down the gravel road and see how she does, well it wont even break the tires loose on gravel..so im said **** it, take home put it in the shop and went and got on the computer..so i was sittin there thinking, son of a bitch i didnt set the timing back to 36 degrees.., i go check the timing and its not even registering on my balancer..stops at 50, so im cussin myself out set it back to 36 degrees and take it for a drive and it breaks the tires loose on pavement at 6500 rpm in 3rd gear.. 3 speed tranny with 6.00 gears..7500 rpm is like 95mph

mine's kinda like jakebd's was putting on my new headers. Got them on, took the truck out. It started messing up, stumbling a shaking and crap. Looked through the engine compartment, nuthing, scanned the computer found out a couple cylinders misfiring looked real close, both rear spark plug wires unplugged.
