4.8 Liter Of Cola Dec 26, 2005 04:15 PM

i'll let y'all know if I decide to gut my cats. I appreciate it though, and thanks for the explanation of what Nelson could do.

wow, yall have it rough. all we check for here is a visual on the cats doesnt matter if they are gutted or not, and it could be lopey as hell but as long as theres no exhaust leak your good to go. usually if its someone i or my boss (shop owner) knows we just make it clear that if anyone asks the cats were removed/modifications made shortly after inspection:)

i was unaware that you had to be code free in ANY state to pass. sounds like the shop owners made that state law to get some more cash to me.

Lol over here in LA i had to get one this month. Ok as most of you know i had a 4.3 in my truck so thats what the registration states. My truck is very loud and lopes. I watched the guy enter in the details into the computer as he typed 6cyl i grinned as i listened to my "6" rumble the inspection shack.
A huge thanks goes out to Mr Allen Nelson for making my truck "legal"

Emissions LMAO! :judge:

What ya think I was doin at the inspection shop on Antioch? I was laughing hard on the inside when I told the guy my truck came with a 4.3L. Then I told him I had a 325ci motor in it. Didn't pop the hood, nor tell him it was computer controlled. He never asked about cats, but did ask if I replaced the gas caps. All else was fine. To me, it smelled rich, but he is a car guy (seemed to be). Guess he figured things were good enough. I'll see him again in July. Better emissions service than Plank Rd, and MUCH closer. :judge:

I think since this thread was posted in 2005, that he may have had an inspection or 2 done since then and most likely has resolved the problem:funny:
