beating inspection in Texas

how can you do it? I remember someone said its easy here, but I'm unsure on how to do it unless I pay somebody extra to buy the sticker. Even with that, I don't know where I'd go. I've also heard of using o2 simulators. Whats the story behind those?

Btw, I'm wanting to gut the cats.

Um... I'm not sure how that helps. (you gotta explain this man...)

what have you done to the truck to make you think it wont pass inspection?

TXsilverado Dec 24, 2005 11:44 PM

do you live on the north side? if so PM me. the only requirement my guy has is that you MUST NOT THROW CODES! allen nelson can fix that problem. instead of using 02 simulators he will just delete the code from the computer that the rear 02's throw. problem solved :)

Would a bigger cam cause problems with inspections?

MrDestinE Dec 25, 2005 10:51 PM

It depends on where you take it.... Any inspection station can fail you on a visual if you have no cats or an obvious camshaft but most stations will pass you if have a no code situation on an ODBII vehicle. If you run into a station that is being frequented by the local State Enforcement, then good luck...

so, will a bigger cam throw codes or readings when they plug it in for the test? If so, can it be tuned out to read normal?

TXsilverado Dec 25, 2005 11:44 PM

cam shouldnt be a huge problem. if you do have problems get ahold of me :)

Most wont give you a problem if you dont throw a code if TX cant help you I may know someone:secret2:
