I understand the reasoning behind keeping people who aren't paying sponsor dues from selling mechanical work. But who is he competing against selling his used parts in the classifieds?

Let it go man. I see where you are coming from, being upset. But you aren't going to win. I think you should spend the cash and be a sponsor. If it wasn't for shipping, I know I would've bought a few things from you. Or just sell the stuff on craigslist. Its free. And most ppl who look at the classifieds here, look on CL too.
