New guy- cam for Sierra Denali
Hey guys, hope this is I'm in the right thread/section of the site. I have an 05 Sierra Denali. Intake, true dual exhaust w/ high flow cats, and tune are all the significant upgrades I have now. Looking into a getting a Cam and possibly some other not too expensive upgrades this summer. Looking for suggestions for cam size or where to purchase(good price/customer service) and suggestions on other upgrades. Thanks!

I didn't mean to come off like an idiot in that last post, I'm fairly knowledgeable about the truck and how a cam works I was just looking for suggestions on what everyone else is using. The truck is my daily and I'm not going for anything too ridiculous just some extra power, and preferably a cam that'll give me some more power down low because top speed isn't my biggest concern. What would you recommend converter wise?

For a daily driver that's not after all out performance I think a 278mm restalled factory converter is best.
If you just want a mild bump in power maybe the truck flow cam that's a 216/220. It's small for a 6.0 but it'll literally make more power from too to bottom.
The cam I have is in the big side tipoff adding bottom end power, but I definitely didn't lose any bottom end put it that way.

Vortec350ss thanks for the help! My brother was a gm mechanic for 4-5 years and has built his 12 second duramax so I'm sure he will have a good idea on what would be best for my truck but I was curious on what everyone on here was running for a mild DD.

I did check out your videos and had come across them a while back as well! Would love to hear your input on that, might help me cut a few corners and avoid some wasted time/money
