Default New 05 Gibbs Owner, Insurance/Build Sheet?

Just Curious, do any of your guys have Specialty Car Insurance like Hagerty, Grundy, etc in your SS or Gibbs, Vette, etc?

And do any of you Gibbs owners have a build sheet?

Previous owner can't find the paperwork, and I need to take it to my State Farm Rep to get it scanned into system for the value. Just the complete window sticker and side Annex with the Gibbs Options. If anyone could scan or shoot a picture and send to me in a message, that would be awesome.

I'll get a few pics up tonight...

If you go with a normal insurance company (Allstate, Nationwide, Progressive, etc) they're going to insure it just like a 10 year old 2 wheel drive pickup with nothing else. If you go with a collector company you will need an appraisal and documentation for the truck to help determine the value. At that point should be able to get agreed value coverage for the truck at either what you paid for it/what you and they think it's worth... A few hoops to jump through but if you're treating it like a collector car you should insure it as one.

Post some pics and let us know how it works out, I see a lot of confusion on insurance coverage on forums. The more actual info vs. "my buddy..." stories the better.

Clean truck, I like the blacked out look. From a collector perspective that is not going to make the grade- the SS reps and lowered suspension while reversible aren't part of the original package. A collector car appraiser will knock you for all of that. You'll want a modified vehicle policy which will cover the truck and itemized extras (blower, wheels, suspension, etc).

If you look online, You should still be able to find what the Stage 2 package included. It was a pretty specialized package. Also If you look in the Glove box there should be an RPO code of PCX indicating it was ordered and designated for a Joe Gibbs package.

The modifications were performedi at the the Joe Gibbs Vehicle performance center and not through GM.

To the best of my knowledge most all the parts were sold off and nothing is available through a GM dealer. Even the Magnuson Blowers were different for the Gibbs package.

I would get specialized insurance with an agreed upon value. You can't even get a new front bumper should get damaged or stolen let alone the small emblem that goes on it.

We also don't have any true production numbers. So lets say Gibbs produced 700 Vehicles There were only a few Hummer's, H2's, Avalanche's, Tahoe's, as well as the Silverado's. I am not even sure they reached the full 700 before they closed the doors. I have never seen a Gibbs equipped vehicle past the 600 range for sale. I believe I saw one in the low 500's but never passed 600 for sale. The plaques were for sale at one point and started in the 600 range.

We do know the Silverado's were the most popular and they came in regular cab as well as extended cabs. There were also a few that were more of a base model and did not get all the upgrades.
