Looking for Info on a 2004 RST
 

I just purchased a 2004 RST extended cab with a 6.0L and am having a difficult time finding much information on this truck.

From what I have found it is one of 300 made that year and 150 were the black/red. Most I have seen online have the 5.8L and are regular cab.

I'm just trying to find out how many were made and how rare this truck might actually be. It was on a local used car lot and I got it for $1500 under KBB retail for a normal 2004 silverado.

Any help or ideas of where I can find out more would be greatly appreciated.

RST trucks came with a 4.8 or 5.3. And I'm not entirely sure but I thought extended cab trucks came post 2004

There is no 5.8L in any RST,however ,I know some xcabs did came with a 6.0, I know this because I my local dealer had one back in 2004 .

I meant 5.7 not 5.8...and have located more information on the truck as it came from the factory...it is a 2004 with a VHO or B4V some called it a Texas truck. Basically the same performance package as the SS. Their were a limited number of them built at the Canada plant.

The Vortec High Output (also know as the VHO by some enthusiasts) was first introduced in 2004 to a limited market (mainly consisting of Texas and several surrounding areas). The VHO package (under option code B4V) included several options previously not found on the standard 1500 model, most notably the LQ9 6.0 liter V-8 engine (the same used for the Silverado SS and the Cadillac Escalade). The LQ9 motor was rated at 345 hp (257 kW) at 5200 rpm and 380 lbf·ft (515 N·m) of torque at 4000 rpm, which was the same specifications shared in the SS models. The package also included one style of the newly introduced GM 20 inch wheels installed from the factory. The B4V package could only be ordered on an extended cab, light duty, 2 wheel drive Silverado or Sierra. This marked the first time the LQ9 engine was available for a two wheel drive application.

My truck was then shipped to Regency in Fort worth and had the RST package added and then sent to the dealer...i'm working on finding a dealer sticker for it now.

Any help on how to do this would be appreciated as the dealer says they can legally only give that information to the original owner.
