Pretty sure the 99-02 brakes are smaller.

that would be amazing to find out. like i was saying, my biggest problem has been with the brackets more than the calipers. i am stupid close but went ahead and ordered a set of diamond steelies in case i cant get it to clear. they have a big hat and are CHEAP!! 15x10 6/5.5 6.5bs 130.00ea shipped. I also had to change the brake line to the s10 line. I'm gonna call ssbc today and get some input from them, I know they used to have some stuff for small wheel applications

I should of added you still have to grind the 99-02 brake also, but not as much.

I'm going through the same thing the rims I have will not fit and I have ground the brackets so much they have holes now. I will have to get new brackets. Did you ever get yours to fit? I bought a set a cheap fake prostars 15x10 with a 5.5 backspace, I tried a set of 15x8 with 4.5 backspace weld draglites and they fit fine. I just got the s10 calipers and I'm thinking of getting the weld prostars 15x10 with 6.5 backspace since the welds fit, just not sure if backspacing is causing the problem. I should add I converted my truck to the 5x4.75 bolt pattern.

ok, heres what i did.
1) ditch the 2004 brackets and get the 2002 brackets. this was the single most productive thing i did. i spent weeks working on the 2004 brackets and finally made them work but i had to do SO much work, not even worth it. about 3/4 inch from the outboard side of the 2004 caliper bolt, i ground all the way through it, welded it back and reshaped it. then cut the inboard side of the caliper bolt receiver completely flush, milled the hex head off the caliper bolts and drilled the now round head so i could insert a 1/8 inch rod (drill bit) to hold the bolt while i tightened it. then shaped everything to fit. finally worked but i literally spent WEEKS building/fitting/testing. super pain in the ***. then the gentleman above mentioned the 2002 brackets and that was the ticket.

I used Cardone part # 14-1110 brackets. 10 minutes with a Tiger Paw and both were done.
HINT: fit the wheels one piece at a time. Put the new brackets on with nothing else attached and fit them. I had to grind the inboard area (where the rubber seal is) flush and on the same contour as the rest of the bracket. i'll post picks later, but it was literally 10 minutes to do both sides. it does NOT have the rubber dust cover over the bolt, we'll see how that works with some miles on it.

2) 2002 s10 blazer calipers like everyone said. grind the stone loving **** out of them but be smart and follow the contour of the now fitted 2002 brackets. the sight hole in the middle of my calipers are 1/8 of an inch thick. i took a LOT off, most of it is ribbing and their remains a good bit of material on the inside of the caliper. test fit this to the previously fitted brackets and grind more until the contours match. try the wheels again and make any necessary corrections.

3)cheap autozone brake pads

4)2002 s10 blazer 2wheel drive brake lines (driver side bracket had to be bent forward about 1/2" to facilitate fitment and watch their is no abrasion on the ebrake actuator. 5 minute fitment. i bent the bracket with a crescent wrench so it would bend the direction and amount i wanted it to. on the passenger side brake lined i had to file one of the tabs off the line to fit into the bracket and keep orientation. ( it was the small tab) another 5 minute job.

5) I had Diamond Race Wheels build a 15x10 6.5"bs wheel for the slicks. if this is a track wheel, its a GREAT option as they're steel, light (race) weight and have the tallest hat in the industry. as a bonus, they were 120 bucks each and fit perfect. they were designed for larger brakes for road racing so you get a little extra room to boot.

All told, once i went with the 2002 brackets, it took like 2 hrs for the whole build (not including shaping the calipers) from shoving the jack under the truck to torquing the wheels. My hats off to the guy that mentioned the 2002 brackets. I'm retuning this week and gonna go down the track and see how it does. i made 753rwhp on the old tune so we're gonna see how it does.

P.S.- no wheel spacers, 30x10.5 15 hoosier COMPLETELY under the truck!!

another hint to save you some grief: use the original silverado bracket as a test dummy and grind it like it stole your money. Use Tiger Paws, not stones, Take the ribbing off straight away but try to keep it cool or youl melt the seal around the piston. use it to learn the shape you need and the amount of grinding required and then when you grind the blazer calipers it will go MUCH quicker. It took me 45mminutes to grind each one after i learned how much and where with the silverado calipers needed grinding. Good luck. Please, I beg you use my learning curve. i was ready to give up before i heard about the 2002 brackets.
