Default Lowered prerunner?

I've got a 2010 Silverado with a 6.2L, 6L80E and 14 bolt dropped 4/6 for now, lower later, possibly air ride eventually. It's an awesome truck I've got big plans for it but there's only one problem with it. It's from Minnesota so the rear quarter panels are starting to rust. I'm considering doing prerunner bedsides and fenders to drop a few pounds, get rid of the rust, and fit wider tires underneath.... Has anyone done or seen this done? I don't know whether it would look good or reeeeeeally stupid haha. Rutledge Wood's lowered tundra is a bit of my inspiration, it looks pretty sick in my opinion and I'd like to do something similar. Opinions on this?

I haven't seen it but I wish someone would do it. I'm with you and think it looks killer.

That looks more like a Liberty Walk or RWB over the fender. They cut out everything under the fender. It still looks sick. Heck, I'd do that to 07 Tahoe haha

You're definitely right about it looking like a Liberty Walk setup...if I could find something similar that matched the curves of the Silverado I would totally do it

I'm with you, I'd do that in a heartbeat. I love that look. That would be something to see, an over fender Silverado/Tahoe haha.

I think the biggest issue with pre-runner fenders, the arch is a lot higher than stock for the extra tire/suspension clearance.

Hmm yeah I know the bedsides I've seen have the same height arch in them, they're just wider... but I think you're right about the front fenders....maybe I could just do the rear and figure something out for the front?

Yes, glad you know what I'm talkin about haha. The fronts are higher.
I think it would look pretty slick with the rears though.
How much wider are they?

Depends on the brand, but 2" to 5" wider. I would go with the 2" so it wasn't crazy
