haha I'm in san antonio and these trucks are all over texas.People are proud of them tho a v6 short bed trucks are still going for 4000 and as much as 7500 lol its crazy but a little fire drops the price a bit haha.I'm referring to 99 to 06

 

Well the guy sold the whole truck I was gonna rob parts off of so now I'm back to the buy a cab option.Gonna go to pick n pull and see what's out there

 

Bed transport!the bed on the fire truck was beaten bad from them hauling whatever so it's going to scrap!

 

I don't understand what is usable from the burnt truck. It sounds like the guy who needs his hammer rebuilt, but didn't have the old head or the old handle.

 

well just having a short bed frame and a vin and a title for it plus parts are everywhere in san antonio but I see where your coming from.Its more of a summer project and not the cheapest way to go about getting a short bed but if I keep ragging on my nnbs I'm gonna blow it up lol so I'm just throwing this one together for the track and shenanigans haha.

 

Little update I finally got a cab on there and only paid 375 for it complete,I also installed a fuel tank and evap system from the 02 I got the cab from also had to switch the ebcm and abs puno because the tail light and fuel pump harness that was burned up front was different so now I'm running a 02 fuel system and ebcm.Got all this for very cheap from s salvage yard here in san antonio I'm ready for a 5.3 4l60e from the same salvage yard for 1100 complete everything I need so that's coming next Friday can't wait who needs a front clip or bed right?

Good work man! I fell your pain on prices for our trucks now and days here in Texas! Here in Dallas people feel they are gold lol! Anywho, good progress man keep it up.
