Default Need 4l60e guru for some help please

I checked the stickies and didn't find what I was looking for and I'm on my phone and I can't get the search function to work so I'm hoping someone here has the knowledge.

I purchased a 4l60e off Craigslist and I wasn't educated enough and made a bad purchase. Turns out the guy either didn't know or lied when I asked if the tranny was behind a v8 he said yea I bought it. After much head scratching and many bad words because the torque converter wouldn't bolt to the flex plate I have discovered that I in fact poses a 2001 4l60e from a 4.3 powered gmc Sonoma.

So is there anyway to make this thing work behind my 5.3?

I've read about elongation of the flex plate bolt holes but that has all been in relation to bolting up a th350 or 400, or 700r4

Will the elongated bolt holes work with this 6 cylinder transmission?

Would I also need to purchase a crank spacer, or do I need a pilot sleeve?

Assuming this will even work, or did I waste 300 bucks on this transmission?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

I would suggest buying a torque converter for an ls v8, but for some reason the bellhousing looks off to me in that picture.....the 01 should have the 300mm stator, even though its out of a 4.3.....

Second hand knowledge here so forgive me if I am wrong. But I'm operating under the assumption that the input shafts are different, and to run a ls style converter instead of this lt style I'd have to replace the input shaft as well as the stator pump.

I am hoping I'm way wrong and a 100 dollar converter will fix this.

Looks like the bellhousing is different, but as far as the input shaft you may be ok because its an 01.... I may be wrong, but wittrans.com is only listing one input drum w/shaft from 98-02. If they are different you have two choices get the parts and make it work or try to sell it and get one that will work....

Trying to figure out which way is cheaper lmao. If all I need is a dremel and a 50 dollar spacer or sleeve I'll try to make it work. But if I have to go buy a whole new I'm put shaft and converter etc I might try to Craigslist the whole thing.

What parts do you think I need?

As far as the bell housing I know it bolts to the engine block because I had them mated and bolted before I realized the converter had a different bolt diameter than the flex plate

Id say call a transtar or wittrans type place and see what they say, but what i saw on wittrans is the inputs are the same, its the converter thats differnt as well as something in the rear of the trans, cant remember off top of my head what that was butive bolted 4.3 trans up to a 5.3 before and she ran it for about 5 years before she broke the second pump slamming on the brakes....
