Your Only as good as your word.
Do what you say, even if it costs you, If you ever expect people to help you in the future.
Ive given more parts/items to people just to help them and it cost me money, but when i need something it always " works out" How bout that ??
Too bad about the seat switch, thats BS you have to go thru all this for something promised to you, Total BS IMO.

The last two days I've been helping nicksilverado with his 6.0 build/swap, and Bens been coming over after work. When we pulled the old 5.3 out you could see where the water pump was leaking....Ben went and fetched a new one off the shelf from the house and gave it to nick free, and then he gave me a low mile G80 to replace my one that grenaded. He even stopped and bought the gear oil on the way. Of course I'll pay him back for the oil and give him something for the gears, but it wont be anywhere near what they are worth. He knows I'll be there to help him out when he's in a bind.
I've devoted two full 16 hr days to nicks swap (dont ask-its been a bitch for sure) and dont want a thing in return except help when I do mine. So its a give and take.
Like I said earlier, I've been in this guys place, sell something too cheap for like 40 bucks and then pay 30 on shipping lol. Or give someone money whos in a bind and then next week they have 20's on their ride. Or give someone a part and instead of use it they sell it and turn a profit off of it. It sucks to lose money and your time, but you should always make it right.
Hell one time I told a guy I'd ship his stuff first thing monday mornin, and come monday I was too lazy, so tuesday I felt bad and paid extra for two day shipping to make up for it. I may be a dick sometimes but my word is good
I give my buddy michael free **** and work on his truck all the time, cause he lives like stone throwing distance away and I know He'll come over and help if I need an extra hand, even if its just pushing my broke *** 85 around the yard.

That will be just another one to add to the list of NOT TO DEAL WITH.. Sucks esp over something that small. But a deal is a deal, bottom line, it is principle... BS. I have went beyond my means, juts like stated to make something right if I slack on shipping or something like that. I always always try to make things right when I sell something, even if i wind up getting the short end of it.. It has always been something I was taught by my dad. You help me out I help you.. Just fukd up that some people could give a **** less. Well shame on them

He either should have replaced the switch, or refunded Rick enough to replace the switch. End of story.

If your going to sit around your whole life waiting on someone else to do something for you, your not going to get much done. I wouldn't have wasted my breath and time calling and messaging and all that for months over a little piece of plastic.
