It's a smaller hot side, but larger cold side. Other than the beautiful sound it makes, the cold side isn't really an improvement since the one I was using still had room to grow.

I can build 5 psi on the foot brake at 2700 rpm now. Before I was leaving at 4 psi of vacuum.

Once the weather improves just a little I'll hit the track with the slicks (that pass was on my DOT tires) and turn the 2-step up a bit. The event in the video was a street night on an unprepped track. It just completely let go right after I shifted into 3rd. And you can hear when I get back on the gas that it has no intention of hooking up again after I've let out of it.

The down side is the smaller turbine housing may be choking it down a little in terms of mph... We'll see!

Believe me, if you saw the book of receipts I keep, you'd be more likely to pity me than hate me.

I installed a new Circle-D torque converter in my tow rig over the weekend. It's an interesting piece because it's the internals of the new GM V8 FWD torque converter in a Ford housing. 5-disc lockup, very efficient, very nice piece. They're (Circle-D) putting these things into just about any converter shell you can think of, so it may be worth looking into for any brand truck.

Anyway, I had gone 11.40@122.57 earlier in the evening and they told me to slow it down (no roll bar). This was a pickup of 4 mph over my previous best (pre-Circle-D).

On my last pass I got a chance to line up with a turbocharged C6. Here's the outcome:

HAHA, dude that was a sweet freaking run!! He had a pretty good trap speed but there was nothing he could do about your launch.

No vids because the VC is busted, but I took the camper and back bumper off the tow rig for some passes last night. She went 11.03@126 and 10.89@127.

So, I've reached my goal of being able to say I have a "ten second tow vehicle."

Last passes of last year, trying out the 2-step. DOT tires, pump gas, at our Tuesday Night Street Legals - they don't prep the track. Notice you can hear the tires spinning most of the way down the track. Heh.

My best "street" pass. I let off for just a fraction of a second after shifting into 3rd because of some vibration - I think the driveshaft was rubbing on the loop. Really killed the mph, doubt it made a whole lot of difference in ET.

And this one just because it was the first time I ever noticed the tires grow. I thought that was kinda cool.

These were from the same night as the "launch" video I posted back in August. Shortly thereafter I broke something in the transmission (something broke from line pressure, kind of a weird failure) when I was out cruising in it and didn't get back to the track after the weather cooled off.

Hoping for an 8 second pass in race trim in May.

You need to work on that front end, you hardly have any weight transfer. get that 60" down that thing will be knocking on the number 8's door

I've got to hand it to you...having a tow truck that fast along with a fast as hell truck is just remarkable! I can appreciate the stack of receipts too.

Thanks guys!

The big block is going on the dyno and scales March 8. I'll order some springs after it gets scaled and hopefully that'll help the weight transfer. Also hoping to knock about 200 lbs more off of it.

Small block had 3 bad plug wires, which explains the misfire I couldn't resolve. Hopefully it has a tad more in it, too.
