Default What is the widest tire i can fit on the rear with a 3-4" drop?

I want to run the widest rear tire possible, in a 20 or 22" wheel. I want this thing to look like a paint roller. What width wheel and backspacing/offset will i have to run? I think i've decided i want to run skinnies on the front, and fatties on the rear. I'm considering running staggered wheel sizes. 20/22's are a possibility. All input, and ideas are welcome and appreciated!!!

concept: think....... 68 chevelle "g-machine" style" with super wide rear tires.

why not a little more info for us who don't know you?

What year truck? 2wd? 4wd?

Also the difference between 20's and 22's is very great. You can fit a 295/45/20 without much trouble on a 2wd truck with a 4" drop. I think somebody makes a 315/35/20 or 325/35/20 something like that and that would work as well.

You have 305's on 8.5 inch wide SS rims right? Is there a bulge factor with that, any pics?

my truck is a rcsb 2wd, sorry. The biggest tire i've found is a 335/30/20 and they're like 400+ bucks a piece. It's too short is the only problem.
