Let us know how those 3" hd shackles work out. I've wondered about those for years, but was always told they wouldn't fit the half ton trucks.

truck looks very nice. I have a 4/6 lowering kit on mine, same body style. I threw on the 2 inch shackle kit and the back actually sits lower than level. i can post up some pics tomorrow when i get some shots if you'd like? from what i heard from some buddies you can remove one of the leafs and get it 1 inch lower. i dont know too much about that though and i also think it might give the axle some more wrap. wouldn't risk it going that route.

heres a shot i have for now. looks level here but in person from a angle it don't look level. might just be me though.
|
i think the LCAs actually lowered it 3", i didnt measure before i lowered it so idk. im not going to remove a leaf for the extra inch because i still use my truck to move and tow things, im actually adding helper bags to it to assist with heavy loads. the bed will have to be notched about the shackles to make them fit but thats not a big deal imo.
thanks for the compliments guys |
Make sure you take notes and pics when installing those 3" shackles. I'm sure there are quite a few folks that would like to see how that works out.
|
Love the drop! Clean looking rig too!
