Ok guys, with the streak of warm weather we've been having in Minnesota today I couldn't take it anymore. (You guys may remember my thread awhile back when I asked if the Silverado SS rims would kill my performance) I took the silverado out of storage just so I could try my SS rims and tires on. My 255-70-16 Michelin LTX's took me right through the snow and through my backyard as the G-80 locked up and dug up all my grass
Oh well, excitement was killing me to throw the rims and tires on
So I swap the factory rims off and put my SS wheels on. WOW talk about a visual difference! So now for the real kicker, I back the truck out of the driveway and thought I'd make a few laps around the block. (no salt on the roads and sidestreets where I am). After making a few good launches and laying into it, I can't say I'm too impressed with the truck like with my factory wheels and the 255-70-16 tires on. It took a very NOTICEABLE amount of my lowend power away. So now here I sit with the delemma of keeping the SS Rims and tires for visual enhancement (because they look tough as hell) or selling them for what I got stuck in 'em. I took some pics for you guys so you could see what they look like on my truck anyways. What would you guys do in my situation? My factory wheels don't look bad, but they give me what feels like a LOT better low end takeoff.

No, my tail lights are completely stock, I think that may be from the flash of my digicam. Maybe a new mod others could try though, huh?
1 thing I want to do yet is yank the molding off the side, but I'll wait until it gets nice and warm out to do that. If you look close, you can see where I like to spill and rub wax into the molding for those white streaks

They look better when you give the truck the full SS treatment like this guy Jerrod did. And Arrival Blue helps too, but I could be biased

i think they look very well, i think you would like them more if your bumper was black like mentioned and you were a tad lower. I think it would look better with window tint also, it doesn't have to be real dark just something will do. The SS looking bumper and other stuff would totally set it off that would be awesome.
