TBSS reps....chrome or polished?

As far as the TBSS replica wheels go, which is the way to go, chrome or polished? Seems to me that the polished would be the way to go for longevity w/o having to worry about chrome flaking, pitting or scratching. But also the polished will be a lot more upkeep (not opposed to). I'm worried about the chrome being too "blingy" but throught it would match the escalade handles and chrome front bumper. Thx.

I always prefer polished over chrome. Too many chrome wheels look like plastic to me.

I hate mine polished! The clear is coming off and looks like doo doo....

Im in the process of stripping the clear and polishing mine.

Id do chrome if I were in your position! IMO

Neither, grey.....:nod:lol
but seriously between those two, get chrome, way less upkeep... and you will be opposed to it when your polishing the wheels every other wash.. a powerball and drill helps alot with polished, but imo chrome is the way to go..

The polished ones are clear coated?

If thats the case, I would take my chance with chrome. If they are not cleared, then polished as long as you don't mind the work. Polished looks so much nicer when they are clean than chrome.

Here is a pic of my centerlines after a fresh polish

Well they are cleared from the factory but ive had the truck since 06. They eventually start chipping and the more I wash the truck the more the clear coat diminishes.

Im going to use airplane stripper to remove the clear and polish them up with my mothers stuff.

Are you talking about your factory TBSS 20s or the aftermarket replicas? I doubt the reps are clear coated.

Just a heads up

Chrome is MUCH MUCH less maintenance. If the quality of chrome is good, all you do is wash them with soap and water, hit them with some detail wax. None of that polishing BS.

I completely agree! Wish my stockers were chrome
