Default stock wheel tire sizes

I've currently got 275/55-20 Cooper Discovery HT's on my 2007 on factory 20" alloys. The tires are going to be toast by the end of the summer with the way my wife drives LOL. I want to go a hair wider but dont like the look of a 285/50. The truck has the lift block removed and I have considered putting shackles to finish leveling it but its not lowered at all. What tire sizes have ya'll tried and who worked out If it was lower I'd go with some 295/40's but I dont know how that would look at almost stock height.

this is basically what the truck looks like now, Just with the rear dropped a hair.

Are you sticking with the stock wheels? I'd ask your local tire shop to do a "test fit" on some 305/50R20's. I think you'll like that look at your truck's height.

Thanks Tim!! About to have to put the front end back together since she wrecked it but it's gonna look better than before! Ill take some before and afters.

Roger, I don't want to go too big, I'd like to stay close to the same over-all height. Just wider, if possible. And I'm definitely keeping the stock wheels, unless I run across a set of the polished ones just like these. Then these will go on the 01, and the polished ones will go on mama's truck

Ben, the 275/55R20 is 31.9" tall & 10.8" SW(section width). The 305/50R20 is 32.0" tall & 12.0" SW.

I haven't ever tried to put a set on a GMT900 chassis, but they always fit on the GMT800 trucks without any lift or torsion crank, as long as the wheel offset was stock or very close to stock.

Youll probably lose a little mileage going that wide. I know a couple people have complained about that on here when going to a wider tire.
