Default Getting rid of the rice and.......

Took off my "Fast and Furious" tail lights and went back to stock.
These are the ricer tails.

I may try and do the night shades on the ricer lights just for kicks.
I also bought a pair of these for the area behind the drivers and passenger side widows just so anyone who gets smoked knows it was a 4x4.

I'm am still torn about removing the Z71 decals from the box though.
The side modlings will be history soon.

congradulations! I know the feeling. On my '99 Sten, I put Altezzas, Hood Pins, Plastic Molding all over the windows and body, stickers...

...then one day I snapped. I started removing everything and took it all back to stock. I'm still peeved over the money I wasted, but lesson learned.

I still think the tails have look good because they kinda match my paint, but they are still kinda ricey. if I had the $$$ I would rather have some '03+ tails anyday.

I got a pair of '05 taillights for about $85 on ebay. Last time I checked, that is much cheaper than aftermarket rice-lights... Take a look, you might get lucky.

TG, I would take the decals off the box and put the emblems on the front fenders where the 1500/2500 emblems go.

All good suggestions guys! I just have to borrow me a heat gun and go to town on the body side mouldings. I know... be careful, if I am anything it is carefull, sometimes too carefull.

Hey, the dealer gave me a good deal on the Z71 4x4 emblems, $27. each after I told him they were cheaper on JPCustom's website!! I almost could not believe my ears.
I know its a rip for a couple of stick on emblems but its only money.
The part nmber on the package was 10362941. There are so many freakin numbers on it I hope this is the one.

I tried using a heat gun and still had trouble. Fishing line worked for me. Goo Gone et al didn't help me in getting the 3M off. My molding was about 4 years old when I bought it. It's worth removing though. Good luck to you. I knew a guy that wouldn't take delivery from the dealership until they had it removed for him.

Definitly take the molding off. Looks a lot better IMO.
