I did herculiner in my bed but i have a cover on my bed i have had it like 4 or 5 yrs now i took a drill with a wire wheel and did the entire bed. I used to have a drop in liner but it rubbed the paint off and the bed rail covers did the same thing right down to the metal so i had a few surface rust areas. I sanded the whole bed with the wire brush it took a few hours to do and did two layers of the bed liner. I have a few spots where i didnt hit correctly that have come thru but it worked like its suppose to . again i do have a cover on my truck so im sure that helps. and it does take a beating i can tell you that much.

spray-ins aren't really available because the best ones are done at high pressure and high temperature. imo save your money up and have a Linex done, you won't regret it as I have experience with the roll on ones and will never touch one again

You can save money get really good results doing it yourself if you use the right stuff. Al's Liner is very durable, with a high solids content, and if you have (or can borrow) a compressor you can use our spray gun to texture it. Rolling it on doesn't turn out as well as spraying. Of course the guy from Al's Liner is going to recommend using Al's Liner However, Google Al's Liner and you can find all sorts of online install articles from the automotive magazines, etc. that will vouch for the ease of the install and the results quality. Also, we have a an abrasive cup brush that can be attached to a drill, that makes prep much quicker and easier. You can find a list of retailers on our website Al's Liner. DIY Truck Bed Liners!

Save your time and money, I have tried roll in and self spray in. They suck, no matter how much prep you do they look like trash. Have a reputable pro do it, and most of them have a warranty. I my self just bought a truck with Rhino lined bed. had a few chips from the previous owner. stopped in fixed it like new in twenty minutes. No charge guaranteed for life of the truck.
