I would like to do a 2/4 drop on my truck, but I am unsure as to how it will affect the truck as far as hauling/towing. I tow a 2000lb. boat every few weeks and haul random stuff whenever my dad feels like puttin me to work. If possible could you also add pics of 2/4 drops. Thanx

you will have no issue at all. However, the truck may drop about an inch and a half making the back slightly lower than the front. If that bother you, you can just get some firestone helper springs and be done with the sag. Here is a pic of my ride

2/4 drop on my truck. If you need more let me know.
Seems like the front is lower than the back. I will be getting a c-notch and shackles to lower it another inch in the back.

My bump stops are 1 1/4" from my axle. (1" bumpstop) so the tounge weight may be an issue. As it sits my truck is perfectly level so if I put anything in the back it is lower than the front.
I have a C-Notch on the way and I am going to run air shocks on the rear just in case I haul anything.

Put some Air lift slam air bags on it. I have them with a DJM 2/4, it is the best thing I have done for having a lowerd truck. I tow boats, and put up to 1200 pound in the back. With no air in the bags the axle sits on the bump stops with the boat hooked up and the bed full of camping crap. Put 60 lb in the bag, it leveled the truck out and all most never bottoms out on any of my trip. I would also look in to get a Air lift ride controller ( on board aircompressor ).

Cheapest way to fix your 4" rear drop while towing or hauling is airshocks and extenders. I have had air shocks out back for over 3 years now. I put shock extenders on to be able to keep a little air in them while unloaded. I have towed my old travel trailer (6000#+) all over Texas that way. 8 psi unloaded, 100 PSI loaded. I have never had an issue with bottoming out. I did replace the bumpstops with pancakes though.
