Default Painted over Plastidip on winter wheels on the Tahoe

I took the 20s off and put the winter shoes on the wife's Tahoe.
They are NNBS 17" wheels I got cheap last year , clear cote peeling.
I took a wire wheel to them , then used gun metal grey plasti dip .

The dip wasn't as dark as I would have liked , so I bought some metallic grey paint and painted over the Plastidip , I like how it turned out , especially for just winter wheels . I'm tired of the same old black wheels and wanted to be different . Also painted the bowtie. Gave it a nice wax job also .

Looks good. Plasti dip works great for little changes like this. Did the same to my STI wheels when I had it

Looks good! I've found that plastidip isn't very durable. I did the grill/shell and lower valance, both are starting to peel/chip after about 10 months without much abuse. Perhaps the paint over it will help with durability.
