Install is a snap. I just spliced into the ignition hot, a ground coming out of the stock gauge cluster, the dimmer wire to the dimmer wire coming out of the headlight box, and I spliced into the white wire in the stock cluster for the tach function. We had to calibrate it for the motor, but it's a super simple process that just requires cutting two loop wires in back of the tach. Took about 10 seconds to do.

LOL Slow...
I have to listen for the pitch of the motor. and guess when it's about to hit the rev limiter..
there have been a couple of times I have been a split second to late, and hit the limiter while shifting into second or third

Might be cool to get one of those really small lights and mount in in the dash above the headlight controls, in that little hole in the dash.
I've seen the really small shift lights (without aftermarket tach) mounted in Camaros before I think. Not sure how it's done though.
Question: How come you guys are manually shifting, you've got tunes right?

well really to start in 1st gear. instead of OD....
it puts less stress on the forward clutch packs, and you have less parts to go thru... saves the trans. to a degree... I also have a built one made to do this.
It was explained to me and I have it written down somewhere but I would have to find it. maybe someone can help me out here.

Thanks for the reply. I've shifted my truck manually on the street (not very often). And I have no idea how you maintain consistency with that. lol. More power to ya though.
On a side note when my buddy had his truck tuned at a perforance shop that specialized in Camaros I believe they told him to put it in third (when at the track) and leave it. I could be wrong though, I'll ask him when I see him again.
