painting front chrome grille?

Well im trying to paint match the car and im not really sure if painting the chrome would be such a good idea

Where can I find a front grille that is either painted black, or ready to be painted with the chevy logo untouched.

thanks

You can always try a can of PlasiDip to see it you will like it or not.

so is that a no on painting the chrome? I would settle with painted chrome if it would last 6 months or something?

Chrome can be painted and last when prepped and sprayed right. Many paint their bumpers.

I painted the chrome on my 05 grill last summer. The truck is a daily driver and made it through the winter with no issue. To date None of the paint has chipped. The key is the prep work. You need to scuff the surface, red scotch brite pad works great. Next step is a good etching primer. After that a light coat of base coat followed by heavier coats. I also clear coated mine.
