Oxidized plastic/rubber fix?

My '05 GMC has had some serious sun exposure in its previous life. The mirrors, rear bumper, windshield seal, cowl area etc. all have that funky rainbow or white oxidized petroleum look. For now I have just put armorall on there to cover it. What can I do to rid the surfaces of this oxidation?

i think its Mothers that makes it but its called Back to Black. i used it on my old trucks windshield trim and it worked pretty good or at least it was better than when i started.

Paint it, lol. That's what I'm planning on doing to solve my "oxidation" problems.

Only use back to black if you never plan on painting it...

now would be an AWSOME time to color match every thing!!!
i'm sure you could have it done cheap or heck try it yourself... you just might surprise yourself.. there are alot of good threads on here explaining how to do it!!

I know this sounds really stupid but you can hit your plastics with a heat gun to bring them back to black, and its free..... I have also heard of using peanut butter bc of the oils but I stick to a heat gun or a tire wet spray for my plastics - and I have an avalanche so its mostly plastic :D

Heat Gun - Lasts about a yr or so before you need to do it again
