Double-din in an '02?

I have an '02 Escalade and want to upgrade to the '03-style double-din stereo section (I really like that new non-flipout kenwood navi). Has anybody tried this? Would it be as easy as swapping bezels and chopping up the brackets to fit the bigger head unit? Any insight would be great.

I would like to know too. It looks like the ac controls are moved down just a tad too. Would you need a new bracket? Do you have to drill holes or are they already there? I assume if you move the ac controls down and put in the new bezel, it would work.

This is the one I want to get for my 03 Yukon...
Although the crutchfield website said it doesnt fit on my Yukon, I think they need to update their system. I would sure like to know if you can modify the 02 and earlier models as well, I aslo have a 01 Sierra that would like to install this head unit as well....

Let me see if I can post the crutchfield page where its at :drive:
It's not that cheap though, im still debating if spending that amount of money on sound system or on my truck performance? :chug:
