Arrow Denali Door Handles & C3 Tailgate Handle/Bezel

My dealership quoted me aroun $23 for Denali door handles today, but I didn't ask about the C3 tailgate handle and bezel. I've gotta paint them over anyway because I have the Marine Blue 03 color and nothing is close except the SS Arrival Blue. Anybody have the part numbers for the handles (preferrably the SS blue ones) and for the C3 handle and bezel or know of another place to get them cheaper? My dealer usually takes care of me pretty well so I will more than likely order from them. Is there any diff. in the C3 tailgate handle and the SS handle? Looks to me like to C3 has a little beefier look and is a little larger...but that's only from pics. ANybody got any opinions and/or pics would be great! TIA

That doesn't sound like a bad deal from the stealer.

Here's a few PN's from the Official Part/Accessory number thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114619

Black C3/SS Tailgate Handle (Texured not smooth/no chrome):
15997911 Handle
15046512 Bezel
15755401 - C3 Smooth Tailgate handle - Pewter
15752896 C3 Smooth Tailgate bezel - paint to match
15029901 - Paintable Door Handles - Driver
15029902 - Paintable Door Hanles - Passenger

Maybe Chingon will chime in. I think he's acquired some for a few folks. I should get a set in Victory Red. I'm tired of cleaning the wax out of the stockers

I'm pretty sure I remember giving these PNs to the dealer I talked to and he said that one PN pulls up the other and visa versa. I don't think there are any truly smooth ones any more.....i think.

I smoothed my tailgate handle and bezel out in about 30 minutes...it isn't hard at all. Just use 220 sandpaper and then 400 and then wetsand and you can't believe how smooth they will be. The bezel angles are kinda tough to deal with, while the handle itself took 3-5 minutes at the most After that i painted them myself in the garage

Here is how it came out.

Nice! I may try that myself. Did you use adhesion promoter? I hope they don't start flaking due to the oils they release.

Yes, i cleaned them with plastic prep before i sanded, then sanded, then cleaned them again, then cleaned them again just to be safe After that i sprayed adhesion promotor and let it set for about 10 minutes then shot my base and clear. I don't think they will flake, but only time will tell

I am pretty sure with those extra steps, you won't have a problem. What brands did you use for your cleaner and promoter?

Bullydog adhesion promotor. i'm not entirely sure what kind of cleaner i used...it is possible the same brand, came from the same paintshop. The paint i used is dupont chromabase.

I would highly recommend trying this yourself, the bezel is only 12 bucks from the dealer anyway, so it is definately worth a little bit of your time. I'm not sure how much the smooth bezel is, i never really checked on it...

and lastly, good luck smoothing and painting!
