DDM HID bulbs sit loose in the housings
I picked up two pairs of DDM HID's for my low and high beams and noticed that the bulbs sit very loose in the housings. I have tried them in both my stock and shit eBay housings. I compared them to the stock bulbs and the base of the HID bulbs is physically thinner, so the ring piece that holds them in place doesn't press down enough, if that makes sense.
This is an issue because if I move the bulb in the housing it greatly affects the beam. At 25' from a wall, I can move the beam up and down about 2' just by moving the bulb in the housing. Anyone have this issue with DDM HID bulbs or other brands? I'm looking for a simple fix if possible. Might have to hit up the hardware store and see if I can make a spacer or something. |
that seems odd, my bulbs from them were a really snug fit, had to use pliers to twist them in

I had to use a o ring on mine. No biggie works just as good.

The eBay headlights I'm using use 3 screws to hold the bulb in place. I bought some longer screws and neoprene backed washers for them. The neoprene helps push down on the backside of the bulb to hold it securely in place. Seems like it will work for now. I only did the low-beams because I broke a high-beam HID bulb while rushing :bang:
