What modifications are required to install an 03-06 full center console into an 01 that too came with a full center console?

I just finished up my T56 swap and need to put a full center console back in with the shifter coming through where the cup holder is. With the 03-06 console I can cut the cup holder piece if half to keep the cup holders on the right side and the shifter coming through on the left side. But my 01 console has the cup holders at the front so I would have to ditch them if I wanted to run the shifter through there.

And, if I get an 03-06 console with the Bose sub, is it possible to hook that to my aftermarket or stock 01 head unit?

Very interested as well. Just because I like the console better tho. Does it even come in tan however?

 

You will need the dash bezel and lower dash section with the glove box from an 03+ truck or you could just cut your current lower dash section. The wiring is orange for hot, black for ground, white for remote, dont know the rest though. If you get one with the bose setup you can just look at the wires coming from the speaker to see which is +/-.


Yes, they came in tan also.

 

Just cut the Dash. Dremel and a little wet sanding on the edge will do the trick. I'm still using my bezel from my 2000, as well.
