Default 01 to 02 HD frontend on a 1500

does any body out there have this i would like to do this to my truck but i have some questions about how to do it and where to get the parts i have heard you have to cut the frame in the front to get the grille to mount right but i was thinking of just putting a 2500HD front bumper on the truck plus will i need to buy the 2500HD bumper brackets if i put that on instead of trying to use the 1500 bumper i now that a lot of guys have been putting the 01to02 HD hoods on there trucks but i want to do the whole front end conversion there was a truck i saw on the internet it was a orange rcsb 1500 with the 01to02 HD front i think it was on trucks tv any help would be great

Best of my knowledge, all you will need is the upper cap and grille. You are right about having to move the bumper mounts down, I believe its like 3". The grille will fit no problems, but once you put the cap on the bumper, thats why you have to move the mounts down. You could also choose to do the valance, but its not necessary.

All that is required is the grille...and a bumper and brackets....and some slight modifying of the brackets...nothin to crazy..

You stock bumper will work, just need the bumper cap and modify your bumper brackets to lower it 1 3/4" to 2". I was going to do the whole front also but don't like how the bumper would sit 2" lower then the rest of the body, it just looks off to me.
