tundra vs hemi

bought a tundra crewmax with 5.7l, so my buddy with the dodge quad cab hemi with a bunch of things done to it wants to run it. My tundra is bone stock 100%, we go from a 50 roll and I stay a truck ahead until shutoff @115mph. The tundra sucks from a dig, it pulls timing bad on the 1-2 shift, but we tried it anyway, about the same outcome with me just over a truck ahead the whole time. I am impressed with this Toyota.

what year is it?

outlawz2004 03-25-2014 10:46 AM

my tundra is a 2010, the dodge is 2012 or 2013, the 390hp

when u say "a bunch of things done" to the dodge, what all does this consist of? any vids of said races? I bet he was pretty upset to say the least.

Stay safe out there.

mopar cold air intake, full exhaust, larger throttlebody, bullydog tuner, thats all I can rember at the moment. His tuner says he runs 14.6 but I dont know how accurate that thing is.

we always run each other at night, thats worthless to video.Gonna have to try one night to see if it shows anything

Did you run with the "nannies" on or off?

On tundra solutions I saw slips of crewcabs in the 14s. And saw dyno sheets of 300 rwhp or a little higher.

I've read some people saw gains. Not sure if I got anything out of it. But you can pop off the carbon filter on the lid of the air box. With a higher flowing drop in filter, its supposed to make it run a little better.

It was ran with everything on. I am going to take it to the track and try it with everything on and everything off and see what it does.

Cool. With all the safety bullshit off, it makes a decent difference from a dig. The owners manual will tell you how to get the manual shift setting turned on.

You have the 4.30s?

outlawz2004 03-25-2014 07:47 PM

yeah, 4.30s
