Put the truck on the dyno, only managed to squeeze out 597hp
Turbo AWD Silverado on PSI's dyno. - YouTube
Didn't notice it was only on 16psi, so about halfway through the run I reached over and hit the button for 21psi. That's why the whistle begins to sound more awesome.
The numbers don't seem accurate by any means, but I was able to figure the difference in power output between 2wd and 4wd. Even if the numbers are skewed for whatever reason, the ratio between 2wd and 4wd figures should remain the same. Corrected numbers for the 2wd run were 717hp/652tq, and the 4wd run 641hp/597tq. So that nets about an 11% drop in power to the wheels going from 2wd to 4wd. As far as drivetrain losses go, that sounds pretty substantial to me. 4wd guys have to work just that much harder to keep up
