Lost to a Impala
#1
Well normally I would be on turbobuick.com , but since im currently rebuilding my car im having a little bit of fun in my 84 scottsdale. Well tonight I had just got done taking my girlfriend home, and on the way back I had a 95-96 impala fly past me, so I decided to catch up to it. I pulled up to the impala at the next light and the guy looked over at me and smiled and reved his motor, I new then I was going to get beat, he had a lap top on the center consol and who knows what sort of mods, but I decided to give it a shot. When the light turned green I launched but broke the tires loose, and spun part way through first which gave him a good car length on him, then I hit second and started to catch back up , by now were doing about 50, and he starts to pull on me again, by the time we reach 70 hes got a good 3 or 4 cars on me, so I just let out and accepted defeat. For being on 87 octane fuel , and on 33 inch tires, I dont think I did to bad in the old truck. I just hope to find that imp again when I get my buick fixed up. hehehe I think the story will be different then.

The truck has a aftermarket very old Edelbrock 350 thats probably pushing around 350 - 400 horse power 5.7liter
3 inch lift
33 inch bf all terrain tires
4 wheel drive which I wish I woulda had locked in
and 2:72 gears in the rear
to be honest im surprsied I was able to keep up at all
its more of a pull/ mud truck then anything
