sounds like you love your ford. The only ford with a 6.2 I have ran was an extended cab raptor with intake/exhaust, and it was slow as pond water.

Yeah I do like my F150's. Why? For the first time I own a truck that actually drives like it should and isn't "400 hp" and feels like a TBI 350 like half this stuff I read guys praising about on the web. I have driven or owned every manufacturers offering.. no brand loyalty whatsoever. Will I ever buy another Ford? Hell no! Why? This engine is gone and I don't want a 5.slow or an Ecobust. I can't stand Raptors and think they are garbage personally. I stomp them too lol. Heavy turds with too much tire and not enough gear. My XLT is a supercab short box... the lightest combo you can get with the engine. Even fully loaded with 1500 lbs of tools it still pulls it. The Tundra is geared up too of course but less than half the weight in it thats in mine. Like I said... read the hype for years about these Tundras and how badass and fast they are... Um. . Well I fail to see it. Yep... 381 hp of pond water lol.... it's not that bad but it's just meh...like a 5 liter F150 for power. I don't dislike the Tundra and hopefully it lives up to its longevity claims. That's the only thing I care about with it.

Be nice if Toyota got out of the 90s and added e fans to them.. and maybe the trailer brake controller and working command start instead of just talking about it.

I'm trying sequential shift tomorrow. Pressing and holding the t/c button just does what I expect from any other truck... kills the t/c.

I just started my third week of work as a lot guy at the local Toyota dealership. These new tundras are the real deal. Like what was previously mentioned gotta turn the trac off and throw it in sport shift and she's mean. Also you gotta hold the trac button until 2 traction lights illuminate, if you just press it once you have not fully disabled traction control

Well I have more respect for the old TRD lol. S mode is a notable shifting improvement. Truck pulls pretty good! It's still slower than the XLT... even the driver of the truck when asked says it's slower but it's not a slouch. Too bad Toyota has such a shitty aftermarket lol. But I knew that buying it. Might line then up again and see of s mode helps lol.

6.2l fords are running 14.8-low 15s at the track, crew cab 6000lb tundras are running 14.4-14.8 stock. I just wish you could still buy a truck that gave u the full power they claim without all the torque management, nannies, etc. Aftermarket for these things suck though.

That's like Raptors and Harleys that run those times. It's a heavy *** truck and it slows them down. In 2013 and 2014 you could get the 6.2 in any trim level XLT and upward. Makes a big difference when the truck is a bit lighter. Even my FX4 runs mid 14s. But that's with wheel hop that I have never experienced in my life before. .. I actually broke my drivers axle shaft in the rear. I have a set of Stiffler long bars on route so we shall see. With traction bars and headers 13's should be no problem. And that's on a track at 2200 feet with DA'S above 4000 feet... not sea level like half the stuff on here.

I liked the Tundra too lol. It's a nice truck and the interior is well laid out. Stupid expensive to buy but oh well. Even this SR5 is heated cloth seats, the 7" touch screen and console shift. It's a really nice truck for a work rig lol. The girl I have driving it loves it and takes really good care of it.. hence her getting a truck like it in the first place lol.

I don't know what I am going to buy when I retire the XLT. Might look at the revamped Titan depending on what they offer for a gas V8.

Here's the old Tundra

There is a guy south of me running 13.8s in a double cab tundra with drag radials or slicks(dont remember) and a shift kit and a little weight reduction. I plan to go back to the track and see what this 6000lb crewcab truck will run now that I put lighter street tires on it that should hook up. I had alot of traction problems on the starting line with the heavy AT 10ply tires, and when I would get off the line without spinning they would break traction 15-20ft out. I lost almost 30lbs per wheel with the new tires, plus alot better traction. Should run at least a 14.4 IMO at full weight. Thats a nice ford though, glad you like it but I will keep my Tundra. We use the F150s with v8s as work trucks at work(they are a couple years old), and every one of them the interior has fallen apart, and every light on the dash is flashing. They have around 40-60,000 miles on eachof them. The interior cloth is falling apart, the seat handles have broken, the ac vents have broken out, the stereo ***** barely adjust the volume, the rubber around the shift lever is rotted, the ford emblem has fallen off the tailgate, sun visors have broken clips and wont stay up, steering wheel rubber is rotted and coming off the steering wheel, basically falling apart around us. We had 2002 silverados before these, and they held up alot better and they were only V6 trucks.

Lol. Company trucks get so beat... the Chev's here are all people use for the most part and in a couple years time they are destroyed. Front ends fall out of them, transfer cases constantly pile up, electrical problems. The outfits here turn them over in 2 years usually due to the mileage ( they will be near 100000 miles in 2 years time) so they are always new trucks. This place runs all z71 4x4 extended and crew cab 1/2 tons. The 3/4 tons are no better. Guys just don't give a damn and wreck them because they don't own it. My company is small and I own it so my trucks don't get wrecked ever. I have just over 30000 miles on that XLT so far and I have owned it for 10 months now. It was brand new when I bought it and zero problems beyond a new battery which is likely from it sitting on the lot for a year and a half lol. In another year or 2 I will probably retire it and find something else. I want to keep it and do some mods to it too lol. The FX4 is getting a 2.9 Whipple and oil pump gears this year. JDM says their setup is good for 700 crankshaft horsepower so we shall see. Can't get it anymore which is a shame. That 5 liter in something beyond a regular cab is such a turd.

There is the FX4. It's already long tubes, exhaust intake and tune. Long bars on the way and a Whipple soon lol.

I would like to have a single cab 5.0L for an extra truck, something just to drive to and from work.

The new ones should be fun. The engine is up almost 30 hp and the truck is a wee bit lighter.

The same body as mine crew cabs and whatnot are okay but get talked up a lot more than they perform. The ecoboost or 6.2 blows them away.
