Personally I'm really not impressed with the SRT-10 Rams. Kinda like Rumble Bee says, I like getting the most of a normal engine. I hope its the fastest truck out there, for a 10cylinder Viper engine and 50 grand (Badass stereo too). My truck is 13 years older, will still beat it from stoplight to stoplight. And cost me 12,500 with 35K miles. I do like where Dodge is going with the SRT department though, those helmets can really move. I do like the Ram's, but like the other guys said, it's the guys driving them, with the "Ya, it's got a Hemi" sticker in the back window.

But you have to agree, the dodge trucks have came a LONG way since the ealry 90s, and with the introduction of the 5.7 hemi they have some sharp trucks. Then the introduction of the SRT lineup, chevy has nothing at all to compete with it, stock for stock, purchased off the showroom floor.
2004 Dodge Ram RCSB running 2 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile than the 5.3 Silverado RCSB, info from Truckin Magazine.
2004 Dodge Ram SRT 10, fastest pickup truck ever produced.
Dodge Viper, GM has no match for it at all...........
SRT 4 Neon, one of the fastest sport compacts on the road, 13.8 1/4 mile times stock
SRT 6 Crossfire- 400 HP in a 6 banger, ultra light weight car
Magnum R/T HEMI.........13.9 sec 1/4 mile
300 "C" with hemi, 13.8 at a 101 mph bone stock!
SRT 300, last report was a 12.8 in the 1/4 mile bone stock
Charger R/T with HEMI 13.7 100 MPH in the 1/4 mile
AND ALL of the larger Dodge grouped vehicles being RWD
What does Chevy/GM offer for competiton???
The 2005 vette----which stole all the viper looks
the GTO-oversized CAVALIER and butt ugly, even the 2005 models which GM thought the extra 50 HP would generate some more sales, there is still 2004 models that are brand new and unsold all over NC/VA.
the CTS-V CADDY-probably the best bang for the buck car GM offers, other than the vette.
Monte Carlo SS, a supercharged 6 banger that runs 17s in the 1/4
Cobalt SS, another charged DUD!
The SSR, GM designer use to work for DC designed this after his work on the PT cruiser, another DUD from GM!
SS Silverado, a big AWD sport truck, good luck on the 2 WD model!!!
Why is some of you guys/gals have to criticize DC products so bad, you need to take a look at the GM products. The design crew they have now better get unemployed before they break GM and cause enough layoffs to ruin the world. GM has some nice stuff on the road as well and a few new upcoming rides that I hope will put them back in good standings, its in every news article you pick up that GM is heading down and down every day. Its sad the only true sports car that CHEVY has to offer is the vette, I wonder if they see the avg price of a vette being close to $50,000 will make them rethink a new camaro, firebird, T/A or something other than the GTO, that was a big let down. I have nothing against GM at all, we have several here in my family and I have owned them myself, just figured you guys needed some reassurance on the new dodge products currently already on the road.

4950lb's race weight with me in it rolling on 20's, I am dropping the tail gate, the 92lb spare, and the front sway bar which is a good 60lbs. Your right we do trap really slow compared to most other trucks, the front end is too big. Using a programmer to get 500rpm more, you can get 2-2.5mph higher trap.

I haven't been here in a while and I've missed all the Hemi talk fun. I agree about the mentality of some dip **** Dodge boys. Their truck has a Hemi so they think they can't be touched, wrong. I also know that the Ram's are heavy, my 4x2 QC weighs 5240 lbs. When a Hemi Ram owner puts on a CAI and exhaust, he may have actually lost some power if he opened it up to much. The stock intake and exhaust systems on the Hemi Ram's are pretty darn good. What holds them back is the computer, it's TM and ability to learn. IF a CAI or exhaust system does make more power, the PCM will negate it in a short itme from what I've read, it tries to maintain stock performance levels. The 03 Hemi rams now have a Superchips which I here helps quite a bit. I can't wait for Superchips to release the 04 tuner, it's first on my list to get. My truck with just a muffler and partial CAI ran a 15.24 @ 88.22 the last time I went to the track. I don't consider that to bad for a heavy *** truck on heavy *** factory 20's.

I've raced plent of Hemi's:RCSB, dbl-cab's-from stock to one's with header's, CAI, exhaust, and Superchips...in almost any combo of mods you can imagine. And raced from a stop, 20 roll up to a 55 roll. And NONE of them can stay up with my VHO. I don't have any FI, headers, cam or anything more than what's in my sig. I haven't raced anyone with nitrious yet though!!! I have had one RCSB pull for just about a 1/2 a truck length, but he got the jump on me and has had the most mods of any of the trucks I raced.....but he still lost.
I'd rather push my GM or pull a Ford before I'd even consider a Dodge.
Just my insight on the whole deal.

I havent come across anything since my HEMI kill back in late 2004 on 17th ave
I wish Bandimere had more DOT legal series and events..

The Hemi RCSB is faster than a 5.3 RCSB GMC?
