Default Factory freak vs Srt-8

Well the wife an I were out tonight just cruising around town when she pointed out this red Challenger srt-8 weaving through traffic. I figured it might just be an rt model so I got in behind him. Thats when to my horror I saw the Srt badges. I figured what the hell, the worst he can do is beat me. So as soon as the light turned I waited until he passed the van in the adjacent lane and gave it some throttle to pull up along side of him. Well long story short, I got half way up his car when he mashed on the gas. Well I figured what the hell and dropped the hammer. Anyway, the challenger pulled one length before my truck held him. We only went from 45-100 but then we started coming up on traffic and I had to back off.

good run. I know when I run my wife in our 2010 charger RT, from a stop she rapes me but from a 50-60 roll I can get her because she doesnt know how to cut off the traction control or shift it.LOL

I have to tell ya, If I was going to get one of the new pony cars, the challenger would be it. I just like the way it harkens back to the original

Nice run. I haven't ran a srt8 yet but I ran a rt from 60-120 and he pulled me by about a car. Looks like you have a pretty strong runnin 4.8

Honestly, when I drove the truck for the first time, I had a real hard time believing that it's only a 4.8.

Hell yeah man. Looking at your signature, I'd be better off on a Huffy vs lining up with you

I have to say, I have drove a Hemi Charger a few times (the multi displacement one), and I was very unimpressed. Maybe it was just me, but I didn't think it was anything to write home about.

If you ask me, those chargers, be they v6, 5.7, or 6.1, feel fat and too heavy while driving.

Having test drove an automatic SRT, Challengers are definitely not worth the 40k price tag imo. The 6spd may be a different story but I havent had a chance to drive one.
I think I'd spend the lil bit extra on a C6
