Default CTS-V vs built 327 Camaro

Great race I had with a 327 Camaro that was smacking people around all night at the track. I miss my V! Lots of work ahead to get the Denali up to this spec!

Great runs! You'll have that truck running 11's no sweat with the right mods.

A supercharger and cam with all the supporting mods and you'll get there!

What was your fastest time in the V? Both time and MPH.

Fastest time I ever ran was 11.94 with a set of NTO5rs and an Airaid CAI. That's it. Nothing else what so ever....no tune, etc. The car was a monster but just not a good daily driver (children x3, lots of cops all over the place...everywhere, Pennsylvania winters, etc., etc). I really love my Denali but every time I hit that gas I am still expecting to have my head snap back into the seat. The V had a g-force meter on it for lateral g's and I had it up to 1.14g both directions. I need to get the big mods going sooner rather than later I guess!

By supporting mods I can assume you are referring to intake, tb, cam, heads, headers, hi-flow cats, exhaust and tune? All in the plan! I was not sure what the end result would be but my outside hope is to at least be faster than my best V pass.

My best run in the V:

60' 1.74
330' 5.014
1/8 7.698
MPH 92.22
1000' 10.004
1/4 11.940
MPH 116.17

Yup, and a converter. You will be able to stomp on those times pretty good, but that's a good mph for a truck. With the 6.2 and 6 speed I have faith you'll get there though.

Plenty of drag racers here bud ! I think we are all tired and in shock from the cold at the moment lol.

That's insane that car runs that fast on the factory tune , kudos GM, what a badass ride !

I'm in the same boat with you , I want to make my denali faster of course , but need to keep it reliable for family duty . Stock the 6.2 does impress me , it runs strong and throws this heavy CC around good , no prob getting up to the speed limiter , and from a dig at a light I dust people with ease .

Now of course it's slow compared to my supercharged Z71, but my plans are to get a good tune and see how much that helps , I already have a Homemade CAI and I've ditched the resonator , I might also put a large magnaflow on it.

But I would love to put a front mount on it , but not ready to jump in that far yet. A blower would be better I think for the daily driving , ease of install , and grunt to get this pig going . A blown 6.2 ought to be a fun daily driver , there is a difference in a " fun" fast daily driver and all out max effort vehicle . So don't get caught up in that .

I'd copy your CTS-V , supercharge your Denali and have a fun family hot rod .

That is not bad for a stock V! Makes me feel good about my intake and header only 2013 SS ran a 7.59 @ 90.72 mph and 11.91 @ 114.70 mph

but for a Denali to hit 11s you need to hit around 600rwhp. When I had my VVT cam on mine with headers and lighter wheels best time was a 12.97 @ 100.1 mph. With a converter and more aggressive N/A setup I can see low low 12s without boost.
